Prabowo Subianto and Gerindra Party^s Political Consolidation in the 2024 Election

Abstract

The success of the Gerindra Party as a political party that is able to survive in national politics cannot be separated from the leadership of Prabowo Subianto as a symbol of party leadership in carrying out political consolidation, both related to party ideology, party strategy, and party movement discipline. Prabowo^s personality and leadership factors have been the mainstays of the success of the Gerindra Party since its founding until now in the entire party consolidation process from the national, provincial to district/city levels in many regions in Indonesia to be able to survive in 4 (times) elections and finally achieve power with Prabowo^s election as President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term. This research method is qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The purpose of this study is to analyze how Prabowo^s figure becomes a symbol of party leadership. The results of this study explain descriptively regarding Prabowo Subianto^s leadership, the meritocracy of the Gerindra Party, and the consolidation of the Gerindra party in facing the 2024 Election.
