Implementation of Financial Governance to encourage the creation of Good Corporate Governance Case Study: Sanggar Bimbingan Jalan Kebun Malaysia

Abstract

Good corporate governance (GCG) is the principles and rules that ensure that the Company is managed in a transparent, accountable and responsible manner, independently and fairly. GCG plays an important role in ensuring that the interests of the owner or management of the foundation or other stakeholders are maintained. To realize this, the management needs to carry out effective financial governance as a form of accountability to the board of the sanggar Foundation. This community service activity aims to create more efficient and transparent financial governance. The methods used in this service activity are interview, training and mentoring. Interviews are conducted to explore the problems that will be used as a service work program. From the existing problems, training activities were carried out with the theme of financial governance to realize good corporate governance. This training aims to provide knowledge of the importance of financial governance for an organization. The training was followed by mentoring the sanggar bimbingan in financial governance. The creation of a more structured financial governance will help guidance sanggar bimbingan more efficiently, transparently, and accountably, thus creating good corporate governance. This community service activity has implications for increasing transparency and accountability, optimizing the use of funds and operational efficiency and increasing business sustainability.
