The Role of Exports and Imports in Reducing Unemployment and Poverty in Indonesia STIE Jaya Negara Tamansiswa Malang Abstract The study reviews the relationship impact between international trade through exports and imports, economic growth, unemployment rates, and poverty levels in Indonesia. Data from the World Bank for the observation period 1999-2023. The study uses variables of exports, imports, unemployment, poverty, and GDP. The results of this study show that the increasing economic growth will have an impact on the reduction in unemployment and poverty rates. Infrastructure development will provide an openness to job opportunities that will reduce the country^s unemployment rate. Finally, the decrease in the unemployment rate also has an impact on the decrease in the poverty rate in Indonesia. Keywords: Export, Import, GDP, Unemployment, Poverty Topic: Development economics |
