Abstract
This study expanded the previous studies that revealed the relationship between job autonomy and work engagement and examined the mediating effect of the work-life balance of lecturers in Indonesian higher education. We collected research data using an online survey of lecturers in Indonesian higher education and analysed the data. As a result of analysing the research data, we found that there was a mediating effect on work-life balance. Based on these research results, we presented the implications of this study and discussed the limitations.
