Abstract

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global action plan agreed upon by world leaders, aimed at eradicating poverty, reducing inequality and protecting the environment. Global SDGs are then reduced to National SDGs as stated in Presidential Regulation Number 59 of 2017 concerning the Implementation of the Achievement of Sustainable National Development Goals. Then the SDGs are reduced to the lowest level, namely Village SDGs. Sambirejo Village, Prambanan District, Sleman Regency as one of the Villages that has very good natural resource and tourism potential while still having a very high poverty rate because the majority of the community works as farmers.
One of the goals of the Village SDGs is quality village education that will support lifelong learning opportunities for all people. This can be achieved through village education based on social inclusion. To realize this goal, it can be done through empowering village libraries. The purpose of establishing a village library is to provide services to village communities in accessing information more easily. In addition, it can provide services and activities provided according to the characteristics of the village community. Currently, Sambirejo village already has a village library. However, Sambirejo Village library faces several problems in capturing the SDGs opportunities, including: (1) human resources are not ready to face the consequences of the Village SDGs- (2) does not have a good library archive management system- (3) still lack of availability of literature collections. Based on these problems, the Community Service Team (PbM) provides solutions to solve these problems, namely (1) providing education about social inclusion-based libraries and Village SDGs- (2) providing training and assistance on archiving management- (3) mediator of library book collection procurement mechanisms.
