Abstract

The Indonesian government has launched the Indonesian Halal Industry Master Plan aimed at bolstering halal awareness among its citizens by 2024. Research indicates that heightened halal consciousness is crucial for the successful implementation of halal value chains. To understand consumer perceptions and attitudes towards 100% halal chicken meat, and to explore the relationship between the Muslim population and halal awareness, a quantitative study was conducted. Employing an online questionnaire, data was collected from Muslim respondents residing in both Muslim-majority and non-Muslim majority provinces. The study seeks to identify factors influencing halal chicken meat purchasing decisions and provide recommendations to enhance overall halal awareness.
