Abstract

ABSTRACT
Over the past few years, Indonesia along with several other countries has experienced a significant decline in the number of young workers available for the agricultural sector, posing serious challenges to growth and development. The agricultural sector also faces two big issues, namely related to the regeneration of agricultural human resources and the transformation of agricultural technology. Through the presence of millennial farmers, it is hoped that this will be a solution to two big issues that many people are worried about. Agriculture is not popular by the younger generation shows that there is a problem with the regeneration of farmers and this is a big problem in providing food in the future. The presence of millennial farmers, initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture, provides an alternative in accelerating farmer regeneration. The urgency of this research was carried out based on the results of previous research, namely the need to approach young people in Bantul district through a persuasive communication model in increasing youth interest in becoming millennial farmers in Bantul Regency. This research aims to create a persuasive communication model to motivate the young generation in Bantul district to develop passion and enthusiasm to become millennial farmers. The results of this study are that persuasive communication carried out by Communicators is very effective in increasing motivation to become farmers among millennials in Bantul Regency.
