Abstract

The production process will be hampered if the material inventory in the warehouse is insufficient. Based on the monthly report data of the Production Planning and Control Section (Rendal Production) of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja, the output of the NPK plant does not always reach maximum capacity. According to the Production Material Planning (PMP) technician of Rendal Manufacturing, the main cause is the availability of raw materials that do not match the production needs, which results in production having to be stopped. Inventory recording consisting of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods which in reality often does not match the original needs. The purpose of this study is to determine the time when the procurement of raw material supplies must begin for each request from consumers. This research is to describe material inventory control to meet warehouse capacity using the Lagrange Multiplier method at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja. Research on material inventory control in improving the smooth production process is carried out by seeking information through literature studies.
