You Can EdPop literature consists of works that are written with a broad readership in mind and are widely and persistently accepted. This genre includes graphic narratives (such as comic books and Komiks). Comics are a language made up of words, images, and the interactions between these two representational modalities on a page (Chute & DeKoven, 2006).
This study sought to analyze a graphic tale from the perspective of Sociocultural Linguistics^ Expressive Realism, which resulted in the identification of a literary analysis technique. The study focused on twenty-seven (27) ^Darna^ stories that were authored by Mars Ravelo in the 1950s and serialized in Filipino Komiks. This study uses documentary analysis as a qualitative research method.
The researcher discovered that: Darna redefines the heroine, and this is reflected in the notion of H.E.R.O.I.N.E., which stands for ^Humaneness and Equanimity in Reimagining an Optimistic, Iconic, Novel, and Empowered^ persona. The researcher came up with a method called ^Argustic Reading^ to explain an interpretation.
It is necessary to investigate a novel and different approach to attentively examining the text in order to foster readership and create a society that values literacy.
