Abstract
Cidahu Village is one of the villages in Cidahu District, Sukabumi. This village has extraordinary natural beauty and is the strength of Cidahu Village. However, the beauty and natural potential of this village has not been supported by the literacy skills of the community. Literacy is an individual^s ability and skill in language, which includes reading, writing, speaking, calculating, and solving problems. This community service activity aims to raise awareness of literacy for the community in Cidahu Village, Sukabumi, through literary works with the theme of the environment. The method used is an interdisciplinary approach and empowerment of local resources. The participants of the literacy activity were teachers and students in Cidahu. This activity is packaged in the form of literacy support activities related to linguistic aspects, namely reading, writing, and speaking. The writing aspect is in the form of creative writing workshops for Cidahu teachers. They were given a briefing on creative writing tips, then practiced writing short stories with the theme of the surrounding environment. Another form of writing literacy, namely a poetry creation competition with the theme of the environment, while reading and speaking literacy is in the form of a poetry reading competition.
