Study of Physical Properties of Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/CNC Hybrid Catalyst from Medical Cotton by Co-precipitations Method 1) Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Malang, Jl. Semarang No. 5, Malang 65145, Indonesia Abstract Cellulose Nanocrystal (CNC) has been prepared from medical cotton. The nanocomposite of Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/CNC hybrid catalyst was synthesized using the co-precipitations method. The IR spectra of the Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/CNC nanocomposite showed that Fe-O vibration was detected on wavenumber around 523 cm-1 - 710 cm-1. This result confirms that Mn0.25Fe2.75O4 was successfully formed. The success of CNC nanoparticles in Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/CNC hybrid catalyst was from detected of 1000 cm-1 - 1650 cm-1. The XRD pattern showed that the samples were having two phases of crystal. The Fe3O4 phase in cubic spinel in nanometric size and highest peak on (311) plane. The peak of the CNC phase on 2θ- was around of 22,5. Furthermore, characterizations of magnetic properties showed that the Mn0.25Fe2.75O4/CNC nanocomposite has superparamagnetic properties with S shape hysteresis loop.
