Sentiment Analysis of Mobile App Rumah Belajar at the Ministry of Education and Culture in Indonesia

Abstract

The Mobile App Rumah Belajar is the official application of the Ministry of Education and Culture developed by the Center for Information and Communication Technology of Education and Culture (Pustekkom Kemendikbud) since 2011. Rumah Belajar provides main and supporting features. In addition, the Learning House is also connected to links such as Educational TV, Education Voice, Education Radio, Video on Demand (VoD) Education TV, KiHajar Award, Learning Consulting Clinic, M-education, Open High School and the Pompi Club. Learning houses can be used by students, educators, lecturers and the wider community. This study uses text mining techniques by extracting text data to obtain information about positive, neutral, or negative sentiments. Sentiment analysis is given by users on Google play Store to provide an assessment or opinion of positive, neutral, or negative value towards the Mobile App Rumah Belajar. The data set was taken on August 31, 2022, with a total of 15,051 reviews. This study uses the Multilingual Sentiment Method and Paul Ekmans theory to determine user sentiment towards the application.
