INCREASED IMMUNITY OF PUERPERAL MOTHERS THROUGH COMPOUNDS FLAVONOIDS EXTRACTED FROM LEMON (Citrus Limon) USING ULTRASOUND ASSISTED EXTRACTION (1) Program Studi Pascasarjana Ilmu Terapan Kebidanan, Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang, Jln Tirto Agung, Pedalangan, Kec.Banyumanik, Kota Semarang, Jawa Tengah 50268 Abstract Lemon is known to contain flavonoids that can produce antioxidants. Antioxidants have benefits for maintaining the immune system. The immune system is the main protective system of the body, which is responsible for the response to foreign bodies. Immunity in puerperal mothers is considered important because it is related to the quality of life of the mother. The extraction technique of the existing lemon content is still traditional so that it can remove some important substances in the plant. The efforts given in increasing the immunity of puerperal mothers are the provision of lemon liquid extraction results using Ultrasound Assisted Extraction. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the results of extracting lemon liquid using UAE against improving the immunity of puerperal mothers. Method: Type of true experiment research with randomized pretest and posttest with control group design. The independent variables are the dose of flavonoids 7grams/175ml from the extraction of UAE and the frequency of administration 1x a day within 14 days, the depedent variable is the increase in the immunity of puerperal mothers IgA levels and the confounding variable is foodrecall. The number of samples in this study was 32 puerperal mothers. Result: The application of lemon liquid extraction results using UAE at a dose of 7grams/175ml given for 14 days was proven to have an effect on increasing the immunity of puerperal mothers with a p value of <0.05. Conclusion: The application of lemon liquid extraction results using UAE has an effect on improving the immunity. Keywords: postpartum mother immunity, flavonoid compounds extracted from lemon extraction, ultrasound assisted extraction (UAE) technology. Topic: Nursing and Midwifery |
