Design of Tourism Destinations based on Smart Socio-Cultural Outdoor Tourism in Serut Village, Panti Disctrict, Jember Regency

Abstract

The growth of tourism village is on demand. Indonesian government has been focusing the economic development in the village through Village Funding Budget. The purpose of this study is to explore the potential and opportunities of Serut Village as one of the high potential villages for tourism village development in Jember Regency and ultimately to design the proper tourism village concept. The methodology used in this study is qualitative research by using focus group discussion for data collection and SWOT for data analysis. The result of this study indicated that Serut Village has potential and opportunities to build tourism village object. Based on the the mixture of Pandhalungan culture and the demand of outdoor sport and tourism object as well as the digital aspect. Hence, the proper tourism concept is Smart Socio-Cultural Outdoor Tourism.
