Abstract

In 2019 the world was shaken by the corona virus, also known as Covid-19. The spread of the corona virus caused all sectors to suffer losses, especially the education sector, teaching and learning activities (KBM) which were originally face-to-face were shifted to online (in the network). The impact of implementing online learning at home raises various student complaints including piling up assignments, and they dont really understand using the WhatsApp, E-Learning, and Zoom applications for learning activities. This happened in the case of SMPN 1 Secang, students who had difficulty adjusting to themselves causing difficulties with independence, and those who had studied at home for a long time were required to study face-to-face. This study aims to determine the effect of independent learning on students adjustment after the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP N 1 Secang. The participants in this study were students who experienced online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic with the following criteria: Students at SMP N 1 Secang, aged 13-15 years. Data were collected using a scale of self-learning independence and self-adjustment of students, then analyzed using Simple Linear Regression Analysis. The results show that the research hypothesis is proven (R=0.219 R2=0.048, F(7.426)=0.007, P<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence between learning independence on students^ adjustment after the pandemic Covid-19 after being analyzed the data produces less than 0.05 so the hypothesis is accepted. It is recommended that future researchers can analyze the adjustment factors of students in other schools or students in Indonesia so that teachers can understand the learning problems of their students.
