Abstract

School accreditation is the process of evaluating the practicality of a school program in an educational unit based on predetermined criteria (National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003). School accreditation is carried out by a team of experts called assessors appointed by the government. As a community service activity, assistance in the preparation of information technology-based school accreditation tools was oriented to solve problems arisen. It aimed at bringing positive impacts towards the school quality improvement. Assistance was done through lectures, demonstrations and collaborations in providing basic knowledge about the components of school management instruments. The target participants were school principals, teachers and school operators. The obtained benefits were the abilities (1) to develop the required tools for each item in the school management component. (2) to compile and prepare all documents completely and systematically, and (3) to implement instruments related to the school management component. The benefits are one part of school citizens^ responsibility for the quality improvement of school human resources who are sensitive and adaptive to changes and demands of market share in accordance with their role and functions.
