Perhitungan Efisiensi Energi Mesin Pengering Vakum Pada Berbagai Temperatur (0 dan minus 5) Derajat Celcius Dengan Kevakuman 0,03 ATM Rekayasa Keselamatan Kebakaran, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta Abstract Vacuum Dryer is a Vacuum Drying Machine that uses a vacuum drying method to remove water content from the material being dried. It works by lowering the partial pressure of water vapor from the air in the dryer chamber. The purpose of this study is to test the performance of the vacuum dryer for the drying process of probiotic drinks at two different temperature variations. To then calculate the energy efficiency value of its vacuum dryer. The method used in this study is an experimental method. In order to test the Vacuum Drying Machine 5 times at each temperature variation to dry yakult specimens from a volume of 8 ml to 0.8 ml at a temperature of 0 and minus 5 degrees celcius with conditions vacuum chamber 0.03 atm. The Parameters observed in this study include temperature, pressure, humidity of the dryer chamber, length of time of the drying process, drying rate and energy required to evaporate the moisture content of the material and energy used by the vacuum dryer in total. Based on the calculation results of the data obtained from 5 experiments at each test temperature. It is found that the average value of the energy efficiency of the vacuum dryer is 1.43% at a temperature of 0 degrees celcius and 0.62% at a temperature of minus 5 degrees celcius.
