RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RESILIENCE AND WELL BEING IN YOUNG ADULT COMMUNITIES IN JAKARTA AND IN MEDAN IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC SITUATION a) Psychology Department Binus University, Jl. Kemanggisan Illir III No. 45. Kemanggisan Palmerah - Jakarta Indonesia Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic that has lasted for more than a year has affected many aspects. The Covid-19 pandemic also causes anxiety, stress, mild depression and even thoughts of ending his life. This condition is something that requires serious attention for young adults. Well-being is an aspect within an individual that makes him or her able to feel functioning properly and effectively. Individuals who have good feelings present positive emotions such as satisfaction, happiness, self-confidence and interest. Being able to function effectively includes things like having a sense of control over one^s life, being able to exploit one^s potential, having a sense of purpose in life and having positive relationships with others. Resilience is the ability to adapt and be able to remain steadfast in difficult situations. The abilities in question consist of emotional regulation, impulse control, optimism, empathy, analysis of the causes of problems, self-efficacy, and increasing positive aspects. The results data test in Jakarta showed a significant correlation between Resilience and Well-being. The results data test in Jakarta showed a significant correlation between Resilience and Well-being (r=-0.425, p<.010). The results data test in Medan showed no significant correlation between Resilience and Well-being (r=0.070, p>.05.
