Usage of Flipbook to Increase Children^s Understanding of The Coronavirus Pandemic

Abstract

The danger of the coronavirus can affect anyone, including children. All children can get the virus that causes COVID-19, they don^t get sick as often as adults. Most children have mild or no symptoms. Children need to know the coronavirus and efforts to prevent it. Delivering information on the coronavirus pandemic to children requires supporting media so that children can easily understand it. Digital books can be used as a medium for conveying information as well as a medium for learning. Flipbook makes it easier for children to understand the coronavirus and how to protect themselves during a pandemic in a fun way. This study aims to reveal the usage of flipbooks in increasing children^s understanding of coronavirus disease. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection uses in-depth interviews with parents and teachers who use digital comics to deliver the coronavirus to children. The study results show that the use of flipbooks is very helpful in conveying information about the coronavirus pandemic to children. It is recommended that parents or teachers can use digital books, like flipbooks to increase children^s understanding of the coronavirus.
