Abstract

The purpose of this study is to build an expert system that can determine human resource needs using the Forward Chaining Method. The type of research is descriptive research. Research methods of expert system applications in determining human resource needs was developed with Computer System Engineering Methods Based on the principles of Expert System Development Cycle or ESDLC. ESDLC consists planning, knowledge acquisition, coding, evaluating. Forward Chaining Method is a logical reasoning based on the facts for the conclusion of the facts obtained. Forward Chaining method executed by the facts obtained in data collection to be able to draw a conclusion. The advantages of the proposed system are that symptoms and problems can be updated with data from an expert so that expert knowledge can follow developments, and the system is able to provide solution information that can be accessed by every employee based on the symptoms traced by the forward chaining of the symptoms carried out. The results show that the proposed expert system delivers promising performance, helping specialists to validate the accuracy and integrity of their diagnosis. This work is an application of systems experts in software development for companies and organizations that want to hire people for the right positions. From the simulation results and discussion, it can be clearly concluded that the design. This expert system is very user-friendly, reducing computing cost-based system and useful for job providers.
