Dialect Representation of Early Modern English by The Character Hannit in The Role-Playing Game Octopath Traveler English Department, Faculty of Humanities, Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta, INDONESIA 11480 Abstract Language education needs to incorporate the development of language. This historical approach of the linguistic analysis enables language learners to comprehend the dynamic qualities of language learned. This present study investigated the use of linguistic features in representing certain English language period. Data for this study is a corpus of linguistic features from an Role-Playing Games (RPG) game called Octopath Traveler. Using descriptive qualitative method, results of this present study showed the application of morphology, syntax, and grammatical features of the Early Modern English period. The recurrent and consistent use of verbal endings of -est and -eth by H^annith as one of the major characters in the game showed the intended effort of the game developer to realize historical aspects from the Early Modern English language variation. It was concluded that game could also be included in the teaching and learning materials for English language education for the purpose of exposing learners to the dynamic of the language.
