Law on Technology Architecture in Overcoming Filter Bubble as the Driven of the Death of Democarcy a) Law Department, Bina Nusantara University, Jalan Kemanggisan Ilir III No. 45 Jakarta 11480, Indonesia Abstract A filter bubble is an algorithmic technology that determines what information is made available to a person, giving rise to a personal information ecosystem. The effect of the filter bubble makes the recipient of the information only get one point of view. People suffer from literacies, are narrow-minded, and tend to be emotional in viewing an issue. Information that is not balanced like this is the beginning of the death of democracy. These deaths are risky because the control of the state is getting weaker in the face of technological power. In such a situation, the state needs an extra effort to counter this information. Thus, the state is forced to use unilateral authority to control, but there is no benchmark to determine how much the authority of the ruler can be tolerated. Uncontrolled use of power is also a trigger for the death of democracy. How to resolve this problem? So far, the solution that has been offered is the establishment of laws, even though this method is often inefficient and ineffective. A better solution is used by a technology architecture that is bound by law. The technology architecture binds all creators and implementers of technology to prevent and overcome the demise of democracy. One of the architectures of this technology is tantamount to regulating the use of filter bubbles.
