Abstract
The teenagers at Desa Buduk, Kecamatan Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung choose 3 kinds of languages for their communications. The choices were shown by the respondents of the research. The highest percentage of choice to Balinese language was made male respondents of low class (98,4%) to domains of family, neighbourhood, friendship, tradition, and religion. The male respondents of high class (94%) made choices to Balinese language for communications in domains of family, neighbourhood, friendship, tradition, and religion. Female respondents of low class (87,2%) made choices to Balinese language for daily communications in domains of family, neighbourhood, friendship, tradition, and religion. Female respondents of high class (83%) made choices to Balinese language for daily communications in domains of family, neighbourhood, friendship, tradition, and religion. The factors of the language choice among the teenagers at Desa Buduk, Kecamatan Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung are language attitude, language value, and demography.
