SEMANTIC, ITS IMPLEMENTATION WITH STUDY THE MEANING OF HADITS: ^TEST ME THE POOR^ Universitas Negeri Jakarta Abstract Semantics in Indonesian comes from English semantics, in Greek ^semainein^ which has a meaningful or meaningful meaning. Semantics can be defined as the science of meaning or about the meaning of language. The semantic study has given rise to several theories that can be aligned with the study of the meanings of hadith texts. Because the hadith which was understood as the source of Islamic teachings that was conveyed less than 14 centuries ago became a report of the Sabbaths of the Prophet Muhammad and then it has been documented into the Prophet^s hadith texts. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by conducting studies related to the discussion of the semantic implementation of hadith texts. This research technique explores the revitalization of semantic studies to understand the meaning of hadith by collecting explanatory data on the meaning of hadith from Arabic dictionaries, hadith books, and articles from the classical period and the present.
