Abstract
Tobacco quality that does not meet quality standards will find it difficult to enter cigarette companies, causing tobacco farmers to suffer losses. The low quality of tobacco is due to the limited quality of human resources, methods, raw materials, machines and the environment. Through the Regional Superior Product Development Program, the quality of tobacco is increasing according to the Indonesian National Standard 01-3936-1995 regarding the quality specifications of Asepan tobacco, namely color, handle, aroma, leaf position, purity, leaf picking, dryness, defects and the length measure is categorized as Grade A and AB. To continue to support this quality, it is recommended to the Group Chairperson to provide assistance and monitoring of the workforce in order to reduce negligence and errors in the production process and to focus more and pay attention to the quality of human resources to improve the performance of tobacco quality.
