Abstract
The research was conducted to provide latest development overview of information system security practice, both from the standard framework and techniques used to implement information security in Indonesia. Framework standards mentioned and reviewed are COBIT 5, ISO 27005 and NIST SP 800-30. Data randomization techniques for cryptography such as the Playfair method and the Vernam cipher algorithm are information security techniques that also evaluated. The locations for standard and security implemented are in several regions in Indonesia such as North Maluku, Sukabumi and Gresik. The final results of this study indicate that the standard information security framework applied has been able to provide an adequate level of security. By utilizing cryptographic techniques, data and information security is increasingly guaranteed from both intentional and unintentional attacks.
