Abstract
The main structural tank construction designed with 3D solid modeling. To determine the stress and deflection of wall tank transformer, vacuum analysis has to be done. The minus pressure of 125 kPA to be applied to all internal surface of tank. Calculation based on sectional wall has to be done with MS excel and the analysis used Finite Element Method (FEM) by software Cosmosworks from Solidworks Corp. In view of those calculations we can take the summary about strength of tank transformer from vacuum loading. Type of material analysis is ST37 as common steel construction, with Ultimate Tensile Stress (UTS) 370 MPa , Yield Stress (YS) 240 MPa and factor of safety Allowable Stress (AS) 180 MPa. The value stress below 168 MPa means still under elastic linier stiffness of material or in other words any wall deflection happens because of pressure will be back to state before pressure
