Abstract
Education in Indonesia has implemented a variety of curricula. The curriculum currently used is the 2013 curriculum or thematic based ones. With the application of this new curriculum, causing various problems occur in teaching and learning activities, one of which is that the teacher does not master the material, and the methods used by teachers are still conventional, so that there is a need for innovative methods to support learning so that learning objectives can be achieved. One of them is using the Quiz Team method. The purpose of this study is: 1) how the application of the Quiz Team method in the completion of story questions in the simple addition of theme 5 of class I MI Ma^arif Wonokromo 2019/2020 school year. 2) to determine the effect of the Quiz Team method on the learning outcomes of story problem solving in the simple addition. 3) to find out whether there is an increase in student learning activities by applying the Quiz Team method. Data collection techniques are done by the method of tests, observations, interviews, and documentation methods. The results of this study are based on calculations performed that learning outcomes using the Quiz Team method have increased which is indicated by a tcount of 7.9689, then the tables at the significant stage are 1% (2,473) and 5% (1,703). This is evidenced by the results of t test calculations with results greater than t table, at the significant stage of 1% (2,473) and 5% (1,703). Thus, based on the results of the calculation it can be seen that the t-count is greater than the table. Increased learning activities with the application of the Quiz Team method in the medium category, based on the results of the test g obtained a gain value of 0.50268.
