Abstract
Virtual reality is a media that has been proved to have many advantages than other conservative media in learning. This research aims to develop Virtual Reality Solar System (VRSS), a smartphone-based virtual reality media to support physics learning of solar system. Solar system is one of the topics in physics that is abstract or hard to visualize. So, this topic needs a media that can visualize it realistically and VRSS has good potential to overcome this challenge. VRSS was implemented to 16 physics teachers. The results showed that the VRSS was able to visualize objects in the solar system in almost realistically. The teachers responded that VRSS was easy to operate in supporting physics learning. In conclusion, VRSS can help and facilitate learning physics on solar system. For further research, the use of VRSS will be integrated with correct learning method, so it can be more impactful to improve learning outcomes. It can also be developed to present other physics materials and other subjects too.
