Abstract
The need for electrical energy continues to increase every year, according to data on sales of electricity from PLN issued by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, showing that the total number of customers in 2016 reached 64,282,493 customers. Compared to 2015 this figure increased by 3,114,513 subscribers or 4.84%. Of the total number of customers, the household group was the largest number, namely 59,243,672 customers or 92.16%. From these data, the household sector plays a big role in the use of electricity supply in Indonesia.
A large number of community activities every day causes them to be negligent or not really paying attention to how the electricity is used, for example by accidentally not turning off the lights, television, and AC when going out. The Internet of Things (IoT) is an innovative paradigm that makes the earth in a modern wireless telecommunications setting fast. The basic impression of this concept is the expansion of the Internet into the real world by taking in everyday objects
Therefore, the researchers tried to make a tool as well as mobile-based software to control household electronic equipment used daily at home with smart electrical terminals or named TICO (Electronic Control). The output target of this research is a national scientific journal publication that is not accredited.
