IT Governance Mechanism for The Future Competitive Advantage: Evidence from Distribution Companies

Abstract

Company in this digital economy need to create opportunity with their competitive advantage. Beside aligning their business strategy with IT strategy, business also require embracing new opportunity of Information and communication technology and be innovative in term of products, services and business model. This paper identified the competitive advantage of the distribution companies and their IT implementation. Our study took data from interview with two IT leader and one CEO of distribution company. The finding is intriguing, that most of the company eager to create opportunity in this digital era but IT role in their organization still limited.
