The measurement tools and indicators used in this study were dominated by
many interviews with students and administrators at the Cipulus Wanayasa

Sobur^s theory, according to him there are three main components, namely:
1. Selection is the filtering process by the senses of external stimuli, the
intensity and type of which can be many or a little. In this case, the informants
will get information related to Islamic banks, both information on products for
raising funds, channeling funds, and other services available at Islamic banks.
From here, the initial perceptions about Islamic banking emerged among the

2. Interpretation, namely the process of organizing information so that it has
meaning for someone. Interpretation is influenced by various factors such as
past experiences, adopted value systems, motivation, personality, and
intelligence. Interpretation also depends on a person^s ability to categorize the
information it receives, namely the process of reducing complex information to
simple ones. At this stage the students and administrators of the Pondok
Pesantren Al-Hikamussalafiyah Cipulus Wanayasa Purwakarta received
information that was not pleasing to their hearts, which was then synchronized
with the scientific source they studied (the yellow book), apparently there was a
mismatch between theory and practice in Islamic banks. This has also resulted
in the students and Board of Pesantren Al-Hikamussalafiyah Cipulus Wanayasa
Purwakarta still hesitating about the halal or haram of Islamic banking products.
