Hi Ms. Puspa Ratu, in your research, why did you choose a heterogeneous catalyst? and
are there any other catalyst recommendations that you recommend? thx
Dear Ms Upita Pitrianingsih
Thanks you for your question
Heterogeneous catalysts are catalysts that are different in phase from reactants
and products so that when the process is complete, the catalyst can be
separated easily
I suggest an acid catalyst because in the catalytic reaction cracking the active
side is the acidity of the catalyst where carbonium ions are formed when the
acid catalyst reacts with hydrocarbons.
A good catalyst used for catalytic cracking is a three-dimensional zeolite, the
ratio of silica alumna 30 to 100 with a pore size of 2 nm.
