Hi Ms. Maimunah, thanks for the question.

The types of industrial waste used in this study are silica sand waste and Dust sand
foundry waste. Not all factory waste can be used as soil stabilizer to increase direct
shear strength. Waste that can be used as a soil stabilizer is waste that contains
compounds that can react with the soil so that it changes the chemical properties
of the soil and changes its mechanical properties. So, to be able to find out
whether the waste can be a soil stabilizer, certain test stages must be carried out

Question from Mr. Setyo Supratno

Assalamualaikum..
Hi mrs.Anita ...my question is why these 2 types of waste are chosen, while many
factories others also produce a lot of different waste.
Thank you..and nice to see you

Wa^alaikumsalam.

Hi Mr Setyo. Thanks for the Question

These two types of waste were chosen because they contain compounds that can
react with the soil so that they can change their chemical properties and improve
their mechanical properties, and are guided by previous studies.

Question from Mr. Andi Hasad

In your opinion, are the 2 types of waste easy to manage as a soil stabilizer?

Hi Mr. Andi Hasad.

Yes, easy. because it does not require management of the waste itself, direct waste
can be used in easy steps, it is enough to mix it directly with the soil and spread it
using special heavy equipment.

Thankyou Mr. Andi Hasad
