Question & Answer to the Presentation

Question from Mr. Basri Basri
2020.11.18 13:53:14

kasus korupsi?

Selamat siang, Bapak Basri

Terima kasih atas pertanyaan nya, menurut saya penting.

Good afternoon, Mr Basri

Thank you for the question, I think it^s important. The issue of capital punishment was raised because in several countries, one of which China was very effective in providing a deterrent effect on the perpetrators. As well as the Corruption Law has regulated and enforced criminal acts, but the implementation of this article regarding the death penalty has never been implemented to date.

Good day, madam Dyah.

Thank you for such a great question, what i think is:

1. There are internal and external factors. One of the internal factor regarding morals and lifestyle. While the external factors is from the legal side: the existence of legal rules regarding Corruption but weak law enforcement efforts and unclear legal formulations including regarding article 2 paragraph 2 in the Corruption Law regarding this death penalty.

2. I think death penalty is very effective to provide a deterrent effect. Seeing that so far there has never been a corruption perpetrator who has been sentenced to death so that corruption is widespread.

I hope it^s answer your question. Thank you very much
