1. What does the RDF product look like? Is it like briquette?
2. If the RDF fuel is used, will it caused air pollution, considering that some of the
materials come from plastic waste?
Replies:
1. The RDF that we get from TPSPempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu) Bumi Lestari Sidoarjo is in bulk. With a composition of 60% organic and 40% inorganic.
As for why we briquettes did because of the research interest to homogenize the shape and density.
2. With Gasification Technology, the RDF that is processed will produce syngas, which contains CO, H2, and CH4 gases. Furthermore, it will be used for engine fuel, so what comes out of the engine as emissions are CO2 and H2O gases
1) The waste that we use is RDF which can no longer be used or recycled. The type is 60% organic and 40% inorganic. (data we get from TPSP Bumi Lestari)
2) Gasification technology has been developed since the 90^s. Currently we are optimizing the process from the results to get the syngas produced and reduce the tar and ash content.
